There are few silver linings related to the COVID-19 pandemic but one is how it has proved good for mobile food businesses.

So good in Clarksville, Tennessee, in fact, that more than a few food trucks are expanding into physical restaurant locations, according to a Clarksville Now report.

The Chillz Italian Ice and the Flavorz Seasoned Kitchen food trucks have launched brick-and-mortar stores, along with Kadi's Tacos & More and Legends Smokehouse.

For many operators it's a natural growth step yet many food trucks are happy fulfilling foodie wants on the road. Most of the food trucks expanding don't plan to shutter the truck business and that includes Mamadi Douno, owner of Kadi's Tacos and More.

"The food truck will never go away. The goal was to get a brick-and-mortar so we can feed the truck from there, and maybe get another truck," Douno told the news outlet.
