Toledo restaurant returns to its food truck roots

When Deet's BBQ first started 11 years ago it was a food truck business and then success propelled expansion with brick-and-mortar restaurant locations.

Now the Toledo, Ohio restaurant enterprise, run by Trevor Deeter and partner Tim Haye, is returning to its roots in a big way, launching another food truck honoring the city's first responders, according to a WTOL 11 report.

"Being mobile was a huge advantage [when COVID shutdowns hit]. Being able to go out and do neighborhoods, offices, hospitals were obviously huge for us," Deeter told the news outlet.
