Utah food truck wins $10K tip from Food Network show

The Salty Pineapple, a South Jordan, Utah, food truck that specializes in Hawaiian BBQ, recently received $10,000 in prize money after being featured on the Food Network's "Big Food Truck Tip" TV show hosted by celebrity chef Andrew Zimmern.

The truck encountered the Food Network crew while parked at The Gateway, a retail, residential and office complex in Salt Lake City, according to ksl.com.

Partners Daysha Filipe and Shantel Longfellow plan to open a new trailer next year and, ultimately, a brick-and-mortar restaurant.
