Toastique Founder Brianna Keefe details growth from single toast bar to national franchise

Toastique founder Brianna Keefe opened her first location at 24 with no investors, a personal guarantee, and a vision for a concept that didn't yet exist. In this episode of Founderology - Built to Breakthrough, she shares how she built a fast-growing franchise and the leadership decisions that made scaling possible.

July 21, 2026

Brianna Keefe opened the first Toastique location at age 24 with no outside investors and a 36-day build-out. Eight years later, the concept has grown to more than 90 franchise partners, over 220 locations under contract and 63 restaurants open.

Keefe, who was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, said 62% of her franchise partners have signed agreements for a second location, a topic she discusses with Founderology host Kathleen Wood.

The episode also covers additional details of Keefe's approach to growth, training, site selection and expansion, including why she turned down growth opportunities other founders often pursue and how she added locations while other restaurants closed.
