Several food truck operators were caught off guard when the ABQ Food Park in Albuquerque was sold. Owner Ramon Sanchez of 143 Snacks said his business is now scrambling to find a new spot for the summer, according to areport by KRQE.

The land of the food truck park is owned by Grace Church.

"We got a call from the food park manager, and it was, hey, I just got told by the church that the park was sold and we have till the end of the month to get out of there," Sanchez said in the report. "I was in shock. We kind of had asked the church before if they had plans of selling the land, and they said, no, we have no plans for it. If we do, we'll give you guys a six-month notice so you have time to find somewhere else."

Senior Pastor Aaron Giesler of Grace Church said, "The decision to sell came as an opportunity presented itself that we felt was wise to pursue. Ultimately, it allows us to better focus our resources on our mission of connecting people to the life-changing grace of Jesus Christ."

He added that the church initially operated the food truck park, it eventually outsourced management to a park manager.

"We're grateful for what the food park has meant to many in the community. It created a space for people to gather and for entrepreneurs to take meaningful steps forward. At the same time, this is a bittersweet transition, and we're thankful for the role it has played over the years," Giesler said.
