Corvallis, Oregon's food truck owners are protesting a fee that they claim could put them out of business. These transportation fees charge new and expanding businesses that are parked in one spot, according to a report by KVAL.

This fee was recently updated in September 2025 to include food trucks, and applies to new space at $15,000 per spot. However, food truck owners claim that this fee is too expensive and should be lowered.

Jacob Oliver, owner of Common Fields, said this fee would impact two of his spots. "I don't have $30,000. This is a complete shock."

The city of Portland, Oregon, charges similar fees at close to $5,000 per spot. The city said it will review all of these fees in 2027.
