Ann Arbor is currently considering changes to food truck parking. Currently, any area with two food trucks must have at least 20 off-street parking spaces for guests, according to a report by WEMU.

This rule was recently eliminated for other permits, but food trucks were left off the list.

Zoning Coordinator Erik Perdonik said that they "kind of looked at what other communities were doing here, kept the same kind of sampling of peer communities, and in this case, found that actually none of the cities of our peer communities were tying the number of food trucks on a site to the number of parking spaces."

Currently, Ann Arbor food trucks need a business license, health permit, and proof of commissary to operate in the city.
