Food trucks operating at 4503 Lee Blvd. in Lehigh Acres, have vacated the lot following zoning violations issued by Florida's Lee County Code Enforcement, according to a report by Gulf Coast News Now.
Under Lee County Ordinance 22-01, operating mobile food vendors on undeveloped or residentially zoned land is strictly prohibited. County records show a history of violations at the site, including active code enforcement cases, a warning on Sept. 30, 2026, and an active violation on Aug. 21. Previous recorded liens against the property carried daily fines for unauthorized commercial equipment storage (2024), food truck operations (2023), and unpermitted driveway construction (2022).
While Lee County Code Enforcement regulates zoning for mobile vendors in unincorporated areas, food safety and licensing fall under the Florida Department of Health and Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
The vendor departure clears closed cases for several trucks, though one pending inspection remains. Jenny Criollo, owner of Casa Cabana, dispelled local rumors regarding ICE involvement. Criollo expressed hope that a dedicated, fully compliant food truck park will eventually be built to serve displaced patrons.
